Alan leads on Operations, Branding and Business Development at Dare2Lead. His first engagement with us came in 2012 when he was selected to take part in a Young Leaders exchange, organised by Dare2Lead, between Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom.
Originally from rural Northern Ireland, Alan studied Economics at the University of Stirling in Scotland. After his studies, he was selected from thousands of applicants to join a prestigious business leadership graduate scheme.
Alan specialises in people management, branding, entrepreneurship, civic and political engagement and has extensive knowledge on current affairs. He enjoys traveling and keeping fit, having recently run the London marathon and playing Sunday league football.
His previous role was as a commercial manager, involved managing the profit and loss of a portfolio worth £2.3 billion pounds. He brings with him experience of product, project and relationship management along with a number of professional qualifications including a Masters from the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland, Prince2 Practitioner and LEAN training.
In short, Alan believes everyone has the potential to be a leader in his or her own way. Helping people achieve their potential is something that really motivates Alan.
